2012 vs. 2013: U.S. Estimated Household Income Changes by ZIP Code

Estimated average household income changed considerably for many regions over the twelve month period beginning in June 2012. Households in the central and mid-west regions saw the most shake-up in estimated income while east coast households were fairly stable.

Between June 2012 and June 2013:

  • The average estimated household income rose 7.8%, from $80,906 to $87,212
  • The percent of households with average estimated incomes greater than $200K rose from 3.1% to 3.5%
  • The percent of households with average estimated incomes less than $50K decreased from 32.5% to 30.9%
