Tom Dailey, President and Chief Executive Officer
Prior to joining IXI, Tom Dailey was President and CEO of Claritas, Inc., a leading provider of precision marketing, segmentation, and targeting solutions. During his tenure at Claritas, Mr. Dailey led the acquisitions of several key geo-demographic segmentation companies and grew annual revenues almost twofold from 1995 to 1997. Prior to working at Claritas, Mr. Dailey founded and acted as President and CEO of Spectra Marketing Systems, Inc., a consumer segmentation and targeting company that offers micro-marketing services to companies in the consumer goods industries. Mr. Dailey also has extensive venture capital experience, especially in start-up and early stage companies such as IXI. Mr. Dailey holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Maryland.
Jay Regan, Chairman of the Board
Jay Regan is a general partner in Harbourton Enterprises, which oversees investments ranging from technical trading programs to private equity and venture capital. Mr. Regan has been in the investment field since 1964, having worked at White, Weld & Co. and Kidder, Peabody & Co. In addition, he was President of Oakley Sutton Securities Corp., a registered broker-dealer, and for 20 years was the managing general partner of Princeton/Newport Partners, a private investment partnership which managed approximately $250 million of capital on behalf of 90 limited partners. Mr. Regan is also an active board member of many charitable organizations including the Young Scholars Institute, Inc. in Trenton, New Jersey and the Harbourton Foundation, where he serves as President. Mr. Regan received his B.A. from Dartmouth College and attended New York University Graduate School of Business Administration.
Steve Bayne, Chief Financial Officer
Prior to joining IXI, Steve Bayne held various financial positions with Unisys Corporation, including, most recently, Controller and Operations Manager for the firm’s ground-breaking, fully-integrated electronic-commerce and supply-chain management solution. Additionally, Mr. Bayne held senior positions at Suburban Savings & Loan. Mr. Bayne holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA with Distinction from Keller Graduate School of Management.
Dan Rose, Chief Information Officer
Dan Rose joined IXI with over 22 years of technical and leadership experience in the marketing information industry, having built and led development for well-known products such as Conquest™, Perq’s AIM™ product line, ConsumerPoint™, iMark Online™ and InfoMark™. Mr. Rose was most recently Vice President of Strategic Data Resources at Claritas, Inc., where he led all data warehousing initiatives and re-engineered the data development process. He also held several executive positions in the Product Development and Product Services areas. Prior to Claritas, he was responsible for building geo-demographic marketing systems at Strategic Mapping Inc. and was head of the IT group at PERQ Research, where he spearheaded the effort to rebuild internal data and application infrastructure and systems. Mr. Rose began his career with eight years at Donnelley Marketing Information Services followed by 2 years at Citicorp POS. He graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from State University of New York at Albany.
Sheryl Friedman, Chief Marketing Officer
Sheryl Friedman joined IXI with over 25 years experience in marketing communications and advertising. She has a track record of driving customer-focused marketing strategies and developing creative and effective ways to communicate the brand message. Most recently, Ms. Friedman served as the Vice President of Marketing for Vertis Communications. In this role, she was responsible for leading integrated marketing for all divisions, collaborating with product management to identify new channels, and implementing the launch of a new brand. Prior to working at Vertis, Ms. Friedman was Vice President at Arnold Worldwide where she worked with leading firms including BearingPoint and ExxonMobil. She has also held senior level positions at CAIS Internet and Doner. Ms. Friedman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications Studies from Northwestern University.
Simon G. Davidson, Group Vice President, Securities Brokerage and Mutual Fund Practice
Simon Davidson, responsible for the brokerage and fund sectors of IXI’s business, is one of IXI’s founding employees. He has over 20 years financial services industry experience in the areas of market measurement, benchmarking and strategic performance analysis. Previously, Mr. Davidson was a Managing Director at Institutional Investor (N.Y.), where he managed employees in London and Hong Kong and was responsible for collecting and providing performance metrics information on 14,000 banks to financial clients worldwide. Prior to that, he held senior sales and marketing positions at Sheshunoff Information Services (part of Thomson Financial). Mr. Davidson holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of York (U.K.), and an M.Sc. Degree in Finance from the Kogod College of Business Administration of The American University.
David Flam, Group Vice President, Diversified Insurance
Mr. Flam heads IXI’s insurance sector and has over 10 years of experience in financial services distribution strategy, marketing, customer segmentation, retail and wholesale market share optimization, and customer and channel profitability analysis. In addition to overseeing the company’s relationships with U.S. financial insurance companies, he is currently working with industry leaders in both Healthcare and P&C on emerging risk and marketing applications. Prior to joining IXI in 2001, Mr. Flam was a Senior Consultant with CSC, where he practiced for four years in the firm’s business strategy unit, The Kalchas Group. He has worked with executive management of Fortune 500 and FT 500 institutions in North America, Europe, and Latin America. In 2003, Mr. Flam spearheaded IXI’s launch of the annuity industry’s first-ever customizable market share database, now adopted by the industry’s Top 15 issuers. He was recently published in LIMRA’s quarterly magazine, MarketFacts. Mr. Flam holds a B.A. from St. Lawrence University and a J.D. from George Washington University.
Dennis Hooks, Executive Vice President and Senior Group Manager, Diversified Financial Services Group Dennis Hooks joined IXI with a demonstrated track record in financial services marketing and management, including strategic and marketing planning, advertising and promotion, product development, market research, distribution/branch banking and product delivery, pricing, sales force management, and implementation of customer service programs. He has also led the development of three successful start-ups over the last eight years. Most recently, Mr. Hooks was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Anybill Financial Services, a financial accounting and outsourcing service provider. Prior to that, Mr. Hooks served as Vice President of Strategic Alliances and Institutional Sales at Ameritrade. As Chief Marketing Officer at First Horizons Bank, he spearheaded a comprehensive strategy for consumer and small business banking. Mr. Hooks holds a B.S. in Marketing from Appalachian State University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Wake Forest University.
Shipley Munson, Senior Vice President, StrategIXInsights Group
Prior to joining StrategIXInsights, Shipley Munson was SVP, Solutions Practice Leader, in IXI’s Banking & Credit Practice. Mr. Munson was Senior Vice President, Director of High Net Worth marketing for Webster Bank – the largest independent bank in New England. Prior to joining Webster, Mr. Munson was recruited to become CMO at insurance and wealth management company Lincoln Financial Distributors, and he was Senior Vice-President of Marketing in several divisions of Fidelity Investments, the mutual fund and employee-benefit outsourcing firm. Among his achievements during his seven years at Fidelity, Mr. Munson established Fidelity’s state-of-the-art CRM business delivery system among its 3,000 call center and 900 branch employees. Before Fidelity, Mr. Munson had a remarkable career in the advertising business including 12 years in positions of progressively increasing responsibility at BBDO from Account Executive in Dallas, TX to EVP, Managing Director in Düsseldorf, Germany. Mr. Munson received an MBA in Marketing from the University of Chicago and has a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
Jim Walkley, Group Vice President, Echelon Marketing
Jim Walkley joined Echelon with a proven track record of delivering business-building solutions to clients in the Financial Services and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industries. As Group Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Walkley leads Echelon’s business development, marketing and client management teams. Prior to joining Echelon, Mr. Walkley served in a wide range of sales and marketing positions. Previously, as Senior Vice President in the Financial Services Group of IXI™ Corporation, Mr. Walkley guided the implementation of high-performing client marketing programs for the nation’s top U.S. banks. Mr. Walkley began his career with Spectra Marketing as VP of Client Services, where he managed targeted marketing services across a broad array of CPG companies and led the design, delivery, implementation, and execution of custom sales and marketing solutions including marketing mix and advertising optimization analyses for key clients. Mr. Walkley holds a MBA in Strategic Management and Finance from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a B.S. degree in Marketing from the University of Colorado.
